I have been a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance since 2009. However, my journey into yoga started more than 15 years ago as pure physical exercise to keep my body fit. Gradually discovering the depth and the different aspects of yoga became a passionate task for me, and eventually led me to the path of becoming a yoga teacher. After graduating from the Peachtree Yoga Center in Atlanta under the guidance of Graham Fowler and Elizabeth Nix, I had a dream to open my own boutique yoga studio and to share my passion and knowledge.
With devotion and enthusiasm, I opened “Tuxford Yoga” in Spring 2009. It has always been my vision to approach people who don’t feel comfortable joining a big studio or a gym but who are interested in a more intimate setting (yes, we are family!).
My classes are small (never more than six students per class, not per row!) which allows me to “see” each student to ensure proper technique, alignment and breathing as well as provide individual attention. I offer hands-on guidance to deepen students’ experience and understanding of their poses.
It is very important to me to provide a safe, relaxed and nurturing environment and to support my students in finding strength, self-acceptance and balance. I also encourage everyone to practice mindfulness and awareness not just on their mats, but also in their everyday lives.
As a student at Tuxford yoga you will:
- Improve your flexibility
